Hi, I am Katy Karns
Photography has been a part of my world for over 15 years, but only recently did I take the leap to make it my full-time thing. I’ve shot everything from dance recitals to pop-ups in dimly lit bars, and through all of it, I found where my heart (and talent) really live:
✨ Portraits—solo or with your favorite people
✨ Capturing real connection—between friends, families, and chosen fam
✨ And product + food photography—in-studio or out in the wild
What I love most is creating a space where people feel good being photographed. Every session is a chance to tell your story, play with ideas, and maybe try something weird that turns out to be pure magic.
I’m an artist at heart, and the best work I’ve done has come from leaning into that creative chaos with people I trust. That’s the energy I hope to carry into every shoot. I’m always learning, always experimenting, and honestly? I can’t wait to see where I’ll be five years from now.
